Here’s a quick look at how iOS 4 stacks up agains iOS 5. Steve Jobs and Co. showed off it’s latest updates to iOS and the new OS X Lion features today in San Francisco.

What’s your favorite upgrade?

Mine is the new notifications and the connectivity. When I had an Android phone I really did enjoy the slide down notifications area. I’m glad Apple got on board with that feature. The connectivity is obviously much needed as well. That is huge! I’m excited for iCloud! The messaging feature (iMessage) is a little confusing to me. It sounded cool when they were unveiling it but if it only works from iPhone to iPhone… that could be weird. I would prefer if it would default to SMS/MMS when needed.

I am launching a new blog series all about Google! Specifically Google’s array of Home & Office web applications. You’ve heard of Gmail and might also use Google Calendar as well as a few others. But do you know everything about them? You can do some pretty neat stuff in there you may not have known! There is no doubt a lot of information to cover and this series will constantly evolving as Google updates and releases new applications that fall under the Home & Office arena.

Lately life has been just crazy busy. I tend to over-commit myself. I do a lot of things for a lot of people and it seems like I don’t do a lot of things for me. One of the things I like to do for me is blog. I am trying to focus this blog more on the topic of understanding technology. I am just trying to find my voice on that subject. I have a few ideas and I’m working on flushing them out. It’s just going to take some time.

The craziness of my life is about to get even more crazy as I am about to participate in my 8th Ministry Tour with my church’s high school youth. This is something I am very passionate about and I am excited for this trip with them. As I said, it is going to be the 8th time I go on this annual tour.

It will also be my last.

My life is changing and I am getting busy with other things; planning a wedding, freelancing, helping my mom get her house on the market, laundry. The decision for this year’s tour to be my last comes hand-in-hand with my decision to stop mentoring a high school small group at my church. I have been very involved in the youth program there since I was in high school. I’ve been mentoring with the youth program in some capacity for almost 12 years now. I have loved being with the kids and helping them grow in their faith. However, I’ve decided that in the midst of my ever evolving grown-up life I need to find some time for myself.

My goal this summer is to find ways to re-focus my life in general.

I know I’m not the only one going through something like this.

Computers are evolving and changing before our very eyes. I found this infographic here and thought you all might like it.

So what do you think? Is this the beginning of Skynet? What piece of this just blew your mind? For me it was the possibility of DNA based computing. I’ve always been for scientific advancement when it comes to health care and this is just some crazy stuff. It’s of course not the first time I’ve heard of this sort of thing… but it still gets me every time.
