So you have read the rumors, you have heard the lies, but do you care if the iPhone 5 is coming today or not?
Will you be disappointed if it just a refresh of the 4?
Obviously I am a rabid iDevice lover, if you can’t tell by the site I run, well shame on you! But these events make my skin crawl to be honest. I am not one of those folks who has to find it live on BGR or Engagdet to make sure I know the latest and greatest about the next device.
Why?
Well because it can only be upgraded to things we know about. For instance:

Upgrade the camera – who cares? Isn’t 5MP enough for your eyes?
Faster processor – that is a great thing, but you should know it’s coming.
Dual Mode phone – this only makes sense and will cost them less in the long run.
New OS release – been testing iOS5 since day one, and love it. This is my excitement for the day.
With the above said and out in the open, the ONLY thing really that Apple can surprise us all with is design. Design is what they do best, it’s what they excel at.
So what do you think? Are you excited about these events or are they a turn off for you?

I must admit that I’m excited to see if this new “assistant” feature will appear and what it will be like. I’d also like to see if Apple will mention iPods at all, or if it will only be iPhones and iOS5. I know I’ll be waking up tomorrow morning (in Aus) and checking to see if the keynote is up.
Forgot all about iPods. I so think they are done. But we shall see.
There really is no need now with the iPhone, BUT that would get rid of a lot of sales for them I assume.
Let’s say low end iPhone off contract replaces all iPods. That would be exciting.
I’ve actually scheduled my lunch hour today around the event.
I’m most excited about iOS 5 and the possibility of a bigger screen. Am really hoping it’s not an incremental upgrade like 3G to 3GS was.
I am excited for iOS 5 also, but not the bigger screen. The few android handsets I had were HUGE and I hated it in my hand. The 4 in my eyes is perfect.
Although I have faith that Apple will do it right.
Can’t wait for the Gold Master of iOS 5 to come out. Hopefully right after the event today?
I’ve decided I probably need to save the money and wait until March to get this new iPhone (4S or 5) because that’s when the first upgrade on any of my lines is. The upgrade after that isn’t until December 2012. I’m happy with my iPhone 4 and even purchased it a new case which will help my mind remember that I’m not supposed to spend more $$$ on this new iPhone just yet.
