Yesterday, Apple seeded it’s latest update of iOS beta to registered developers as an over-the-air update.
Complete with the spinning gears icon the 374MB delta download for iPhone includes a number of enhancements. Boy Genius Report was kind enough to share the complete change log here.
Two of the most notable changes are:
- Dedicated preferences for Apple’s new Maps app under Settings
- Providing users with an @icloud.com email address to replace @me.com
If you aren’t already enjoying the beta Maps is one of my favorite new features of iOS 6. The turn-by-turn directions, traffic advisory and flyover views provide a beautiful user experience.
I used Maps just last night to drive somewhere I’d never been before and it worked seamlessly. It put me at ease because the directions were accurate and the turn-by-turn feature wasn’t distracting as I tried to navigate.
What is your favorite iOS 6 feature?
