Homescreen Me

A while ago I was trying to figure out a way to share your iDevice homescreen. I wanted to be able to come up with a solution where you could look at what other folks had and could click on the apps to try for yourself.

Well Homescreen.me got close, but not quite.Homescreen.me is a web app that allows you to share your iDevice homescreen. All you have to do is grab an image of your homescreen by pressing the power and home button at the same time. You then upload the image manually to Homescreen.me using a web interface.

The service also lets you add text to each homescreen post so you can explain your chosen layout and describe your apps.

You can sign up for a profile at Homescreen.me and let us know what you think in the comments. I like what it offers but honestly without the option to click on the images and be sent to the Appstore to download the app of choice, it’s no different than posting your homescreen on our iPhone Wallpapers page!

  1. I actually like the site. I think the good thing about it is that you can explain the “why” of your homescreen.

I signed up for it. Here’s mine:

    • I don’t mind it, but I only have one homescreen and I am not sure you would see all of the apps in my folders. Also unless you can click on my folders or an app you want to purchase, it’s just a wallpaper site at this time.

  2. I was going to email you all yesterday on this. Geek for i is on the ball!
