This last week the gaming app powerhouse Gameloft released the latest installment of it’s racing series, Asphalt 7: Heat.
I’m not a huge gamer (we just got an Xbox this spring), but I really like playing on the iOS platform. I picked up Asphalt 6: Adrenaline awhile ago and really liked the controls and variety of cars so when Asphalt 7: Heat was announced it grabbed my attention.
And the best part.. it’s only $0.99!!
I’ve been playing Asphalt 7 for a week now and Gameloft did a great job making some key improvements.
- Better physics
- More cars
- New tracks
- Tiered achievements
One big change I like is that goals are separate from maxing out stars for a race. First place gets you 3 stars and goals like causing 10 urban havocs earn additional stars throughout the game.
Gameplay is smooth and reasonably easy, but when I reached cup 7 the difficulty level spiked considerably.
You won’t find a better game on iOS for $0.99.
